Ellie + Campbell, this love story officially began just before the C word started in March 2020. A stunning boho chic, luxe but minimal wedding day, surrounded by acres of lush tropical nature. Our bride Ellie, shares a little more about their day.
THE PROPOSAL >
Campbell proposed to me while we were on holiday in Thailand in March 2020 (yep right before covid!) We actually got one of the last flights back home to Brisbane before the world shut down! We then got to have some nice quality bonding time while in self quarantine for the next two weeks!
THE WEDDING STYLE >
Boho chic / Minimalistic.
WHY THE ACRE >
We fell in love with the style and feel of the Acre – everything about it suited us as a couple perfectly. The venue had such a genuine and relaxed vibe and was extremely beautiful. After meeting with Emily and touring the venue, we were completely sold!
THE BEST PART >
It’s hard to narrow down our favourite part but we would probably have to say the fun and relaxed atmosphere created by the Acre and all of their staff. Ourselves and our guests had so much fun – after our wedding everyone couldn’t stop saying how it was one of the most fun weddings they had been to! The Acre made our day so relaxed, fun and stress free which reflected onto us and our guests, it really was the most perfect day!
FAVE THING ON THE MENU >
The whole menu was amazing – I wish I had a bigger stomach on the day! Our favourites would have to be the honey halloumi and the pork belly, definitely crowd favourites.
A SPECIAL MOMENT >
For myself (the bride) a moment that will always stick with me is when I arrived to the venue – my heart was racing as we drove past and I got a glimpse of the beautiful ceremony set up with all my friends, family and the love of my life standing there waiting for me. It was such a surreal moment
Before our photographer left for the night, he took us outside for some night time shots – for the first time that day we got to spend some moments alone. It was such a beautiful moment in between all of the craziness.
